E-mail is a relatively simplistic system. However, additional security and checks put in place to thwart spammers have made configuration of e-mail servers a bit more tricky. Major e-mail providers such as Hotmail, Yahoo and Google all perform a reverse DNS check on all incoming mail to verify mail is coming from where it says it is coming from.
Your VPS has been assigned a static reverse DNS entry by our system. This entry is often used by remote mail servers to verify where e-mail is coming from. To mitigate issues with sending e-mail out from your Kloxo panels and sub-domains, you should configure the "My Name" configuration option in Kloxo's mail configuration section.
To configure your My Name in Kloxo's Mail Configuration, open your Kloxo administration page (typically https://:7778) and sign in using your Kloxo administrator username. In the Server & Mail & DB section, choose Server Mail Configuration.
Once in the Mail Configuration, you need to get your rDNS name for your VPS. To do this on Windows, open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd, or start -> cmd -> {ENTER} on Windows 7) and type "nslookup (YOUR VPS IP HERE)". This should resolve to an address with a number, followed by .vps.packhead.com. Enter this rDNS name into the My Name box.Press Update and you are done! Outgoing mail will be verified to be coming from your rDNS hostname.
